About VMSS Athletics
The Valley Middle athletic program provides a positive, structured, child-centered environment where students can learn, explore, experience and enjoy the benefits of participating in sports.
Students in grades 7 and 8 are invited to participate in any of the our athletic programs.
Students in grade 6 are invited to participate in cross-country, tennis, wrestling and swimming.
At Valley Middle, athletes are students first. To support our student-athletes to reach their full potential, we hold students participating in co-curricular activities to the same standard of respect and responsibility that is expected in the classroom. Playing privileges may be affected if student athletes choose not to take responsibility regarding their academics and behavior during the school day. This is at the discretion of the coach, athletic director, administration and their teachers.
Practices are immediately after school and run until 4:45pm. Game days may run longer depending. Sports schedules will be put on the website calendar and distributed to athletes when they are finalized after the season begins and Athletic Directors have met.
Student Athletes must be picked up after practices at 5:00pm. If you are unable to make it by 5:00pm your student will have to wait in the vestibule until your arrival.
